Kate has over 15 years experience of recruiting graduates into leading organisations. She worked as UK Recruitment Director for The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), one of the world’s leading strategy consulting firms. She has been Manager of Graduate Recruitment for Lloyds TSB and managed graduate recruitment campaigns for Oracle and VW as well as MBA hiring for Chase Manhattan. She continues to work as an associate for two leading Executive Search firms and has worked for the University of Oxford’s Careers Service, helping students with interview skills and techniques.

Tony Besse


About Tony

Tony was until recently an international commercial lawyer with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for 32 years, including 22 years as a partner. He is qualified as an English Solicitor and a French Avocat. He is a Meyler Campbell-trained coach, has lectured at the Oxford University Faculty of Law on credit derivatives and has written a number of articles on transaction management best practice for lawyers.

Tony was a member of the graduate recruitment team at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and has extensive experience coaching and mentoring Oxford University students preparing for vacation placements, training contracts and the world of work. He has also delivered talks at the Oxford University Careers Service on what it takes to be a commercial lawyer. Tony combines a strong career history and an engaging personality into an approach to coaching and mentoring that is particularly well suited to preparing graduates for their careers.

Denise Taylor

About Denise

Denise qualified as a coach in 1998 and is a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow with the British Psychological Society, and a Registered Career Development Professional. Denise has extensive experience of using psychometric tests and registered to use (almost) all reputable assessments. Always keen to stay at the cutting edge of new job search techniques Denise is a strong advocate for using LinkedIn and alongside extensive self-directed learning she has also qualified as a Reach Personal Branding Strategist, a Social Branding Certified Analyst and completed an extensive LinkedIn Profile Training Programme with Joshua Waldman (author of Social Media for Dummies). Outside of work you may well see Denise driving her 1958 Austin A35 car or find her dancing the jive or lindy hop.

Maddie Gregg

About Maddie

Maddie is a fully qualified LAMDA communications coach. She started her career in politics, coaching and developing the next generation of young leaders in public speaking and media skills before moving on to work with some of the country’s most senior politicians. Moving into the private sector, Maddie worked as the Head of Corporate Affairs at Siemens UK and then as a senior consultant at award winning communications agency Blue Rubicon, preparing senior executives for public events as diverse as business and trade conferences, presenting evidence at UK and European parliamentary committees, to crisis communications and investment pitches. Since the birth of her twin sons, Maddie has continued coaching students of all ages from school children to senior executives.
